Roja Dove launched Semi-Bespoke No. 16 in 2005 as an ode to the luxurious and complex world of bespoke perfumery. The composition opens with a bright citrus-aromatic accord — mandarin orange and bergamot giving way to green grass and violet leaf — before transitioning into a heart of white florals like lily-of-the-valley, rose, and orange blossom, punctuated by cloves and rhubarb. This floral warmth is balanced by the smoky and animalic notes of ambergris, castoreum, and oakmoss, creating an intriguing tension that defines this unisex fragrance.
