Launched in 2008 by Estée Lauder, Sensuous was created by perfumer Annie Buzantian as an Oriental Woody fragrance for women. It opens with a blend of lily and jasmine, adding a touch of mandarin orange to balance the florals. At its heart, magnolia and ylang-ylang provide warmth, while woods, amber, white honey, pepper, and sandalwood form a base that is both powdery and warm spicy.
Upon release, Sensuous received mixed critical reviews; it was praised for being pleasant but often criticized as 'middle-of-the-road' and lacking distinctiveness compared to other Estée Lauder orientals. Despite this, it garnered a significant following among consumers, making it one of the most reviewed fragrances in the catalog before its discontinuation.

Two sprays are sufficient to capture Sensuous's warm honey and powdery woods. The fragrance develops slowly on the skin, so it’s best applied an hour before you need it. It pairs well with cooler evenings but can also be worn year-round.
