Soul of Bali, created by perfumer David Chieze and launched in 2025 by Swiss Arabian, is an aromatic woody-spicy fragrance that captures the essence of a vibrant island paradise. The composition opens with rhubarb and bergamot, followed by ginger and pink pepper, creating a bright and invigorating freshness. As it develops, pineapple and mango bring a tropical fruitiness, while saffron and cardamom add warmth and depth. At its heart, palisander rosewood and olibanum create a rich woody aroma, which is further enhanced by nutmeg and sandalwood in the base notes. The fragrance concludes with ambergris, musk, and cypriol, leaving behind an enveloping and warm trail.

David Chieze, born and raised in France, studied chemistry before training as a perfumer, starting at L'Artisan Parfumeur's boutique, where after hours he practiced reconstructing classic accords. He was discovered and mentored for a year by Bertrand Duchaufour, who introduced him to Mark Buxton; the two now create fragrances together at LUZI's Paris office, with work for Electimuss, Kajal, and Thomas de Monaco, and an Art and Olfaction Award nomination for Anti Anti.
