The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2025 by Spirit Of Kings, Anguish is a fragrance that captures the essence of intense yet controlled emotions. The composition opens with saffron and bergamot, providing a bright contrast to its deeper notes. Saffron introduces an unexpected warmth and spiciness, while jasmine and white flowers add a touch of floral elegance. Oud takes center stage in the heart of the fragrance, blending seamlessly with incense and amberwood for a smoky, balsamic richness. The base notes of sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, and cedar create a grounding effect, anchoring the scent in earthy depth.
Apply Anguish in light layers to allow its complex notes to unfold gradually. The smoky oud will settle into the skin over time, so one or two sprays at first is sufficient. It pairs well with cooler evenings but can also be worn during the day for an understated yet impactful presence.
