The story behind the bottle.
Leonis I, crafted by Paolo Terenzi and launched in 2024 by Tiziana Terenzi, is a composition that balances warm spiciness with woody depth and subtle animalic notes. The fragrance opens with the freshness of davana and saffron, quickly giving way to the spicy warmth of black pepper and nutmeg. At its heart, Leonis I features rich ambergris and benzoin, anchored by the earthy presence of Cambodian oud and Texas cedar. Frankincense and myrrh add a touch of sacred solemnity, while Indian jasmine and Australian sandalwood provide an enveloping warmth.
Leonis I develops best with a moderate application — one or two sprays on pulse points allow its complexity to unfold gradually. The spicy top notes are fleeting but powerful, so it's the base that carries the scent throughout the day. Ideal for cooler evenings when you want a rich, enveloping aroma.
