Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Released in 1983 and composed by Beatrice Piquet, Trussardi Uomo belongs to an older school of men's fragrance that isn't afraid of florals or honey in the same breath as leather and oakmoss. Carnation and rose sit surprisingly close to the surface for a fragrance this dry, softened by honey but never sweetened past recognition, while caraway and juniper keep the aromatic opening a little spicy and unexpected. The leather-oakmoss base is where it earns its structure — dense, dry, faintly bitter — and it's what keeps the honeyed floral heart from reading as soft. This is a fougère-leather built with real weight to it.
This one builds slowly, with the honey and carnation heart only fully emerging after the aldehydes and lavender settle, so give it twenty minutes before deciding how it wears. The leather-oakmoss base has real staying power, so a single application at the chest is enough for a full day.
