The story behind the bottle.
Star anise and black pepper give this one a licorice-sharp bite right away, more herbal cocktail than sweet spice, and it stays that way as wormwood and artemisia add a slightly bitter, green edge through the middle. Violet leaves keep it from tipping too far into medicinal territory. Named for Milan's Porta Venezia district, it's built to feel like movement rather than a fixed scene — the anise and pepper keep it restless up top before balsam fir and bourbon vanilla settle it into something warmer and quieter underneath. Unisex by design, it wears more like weather than like perfume.
The anise and pepper opening is sharp and diffusive, so start with one spray if you're new to it — it projects more than the fir-and-vanilla base that follows. That base is soft and close to skin, so a second application a few hours in helps it carry into evening.
