Gourmand Leather 2019, launched by Zara in 2019, is an intriguing blend that marries the unexpected sweetness of iris with the ruggedness of leather. The top note of bergamot introduces a fresh, slightly tangy aroma, which transitions into the heart of iris — adding a touch of floral elegance and depth. The base note of leather grounds this composition, offering a warm, earthy undertone that is both animalic and powdery. This duality creates a rich blend where sweet and rugged coexist in perfect harmony.
One or two sprays will suffice as this fragrance builds on skin over time. The bergamot top note fades quickly, but the iris and leather base notes remain strong for hours. Best applied in cooler weather when its warmth can be fully appreciated.
