Alain's story
The story
A graduate in chemical engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology, he arrived in perfumery somewhat by accident while job-hunting after graduation, then fell in love with the field. He began as a trainee perfumer in 1979 and went on to work across fine fragrance, soap, fabric conditioner, personal care, and home care, collaborating with companies including Unilever, Colgate, Davidoff, Versace, Ralph Lauren, and Adidas across more than ten countries. He now leads the training of new perfumers at Givaudan.
