The story
He became a professional "nose" in 1986, working as the in-house perfumer for Jean Patou and later Rochas, and went on to create fragrances for Yohji Yamamoto, Lacoste, Escada, and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2016, after thirty years at major houses, he launched his own label, the House of Jean-Michel Duriez Paris, one of the few perfume houses founded by a Master Perfumer under his own name, building each fragrance around the finest raw materials at optimal concentration; his W/OOD collection lets raw materials speak with minimal transformation. He has also trained two young perfumers to Master Perfumer status.
