Marie Duchêne knew from childhood that she wanted to be a perfumer. Born in 1973 and raised in the Reims region of France, she studied chemistry before entering ISIPCA in Versailles in 1994, then apprenticed with perfume houses in Grasse. In 2002 she founded her own fragrance creation company, MD Fragrances, and today she also serves as a Senior Perfumer at Givaudan, working with brands including Molinard, Nobile 1942, Le Galion, and Maison Tahité.
Her father's advice to always be amazed shapes her approach — feeding artistic and emotional curiosity as the foundation of every composition.
