The story behind the bottle.
Lapel by 27.9 was launched in 2025 and created by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Alexis Grugeon, combining a fresh spicy opening with woody and aromatic notes that settle into an enveloping base of amber and powdery accords. Pink pepper and red thyme introduce a sharp tension, while bergamot and mandarin orange add a sunny freshness. The heart of rosemary and pineapple brings a vibrant contrast before the composition settles into a warm, comforting blend of sandalwood, cypress, cedar, and amber. This fragrance embodies the essence of intention and beauty that 27.9 is known for.
Given its long-lasting nature and moderate sillage, one or two sprays to pulse points is sufficient. The pink pepper top notes are bright but fleeting, so it’s best to layer this fragrance for a balanced experience throughout the day.
