The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2022 by Aaron Terence Hughes, Guapo is a fragrance that balances fresh citrus notes with warm, earthy undertones. The opening burst of lemon and bergamot gives way to the unexpected sweetness of Granny Smith apple and mandarin orange, creating a dynamic tension between brightness and warmth. As it settles into its woody base, accords of Haitian vetiver and sandalwood offer an earthy depth that is both grounding and comforting.
Guapo's top notes are vibrant but fleeting; one or two sprays allow the citrus to shine before giving way to the deeper woody and earthy base. The fragrance is best suited for daytime wear when its brightness can complement a variety of settings without overpowering them.
