The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2022 by Aaron Terence Hughes, Hard Candy is a unisex Citrus Gourmand fragrance that dances between the bright freshness of citrus and the enveloping warmth of vanilla. The opening notes of lavender and mint cut through the sweetness with a refreshing zing, while mandarin orange and lemon create a vibrant contrast to the heart's strawberry and honey. This composition settles into a base of oud and sandalwood, adding depth and complexity that makes it feel both familiar and surprising.
Hard Candy is long-lasting and has strong sillage, so one or two sprays are sufficient to let its layers unfold. The citrus top notes shine brightest in the first hour, but the vanilla and oud base ensures it remains warm and inviting throughout the day.
