Santal Carmin Cologne Absolute by Atelier Cologne, launched in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, is an intricate blend of woody warmth and spicy complexity. The fragrance opens with a bright burst of lime and bergamot, which quickly gives way to the rich, velvety notes of saffron and vanilla. This juxtaposition creates a dynamic tension between freshness and depth, making it both inviting and intriguing. At its core, Santal Carmin is defined by the warm embrace of sandalwood and cedar, underscored by the subtle smokiness of guaiac wood and leather. The result is a fragrance that feels as though it has been meticulously woven from individual threads to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
Apply one to two sprays on your pulse points. The lime and bergamot top notes are bright but fleeting, so the fragrance will evolve quickly into its heart and base notes. This composition is best worn close to skin for a more intimate experience.
