Larmes du Désert, launched in 2015 by Atelier des Ors and crafted by Marie Salamagne, is a woody amber fragrance that evokes the essence of an arid landscape. The composition opens with incense and cypress, creating a smoky, aromatic atmosphere before settling into rich layers of guaiac wood, cedar, patchouli, and benzoin. This interplay of warm spices and balsamic notes creates a distinctive olfactory experience that feels both earthy and enveloping.
Given its long-lasting nature, one to two sprays is sufficient. The fragrance blooms slowly over time, so it's best applied early in the day or for events that span several hours. It reads better close to skin than across a room, making it perfect for intimate settings.
