The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002 and created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, Comme des Garçons Series 3 Incense: Kyoto is a fragrance that captures the essence of the Japanese city’s incense tradition. The composition opens with smoky and warm spicy notes, immediately transporting you to an intimate temple setting where the air is thick with the scent of burning incense. As it settles into a woody base, accented by aromatic and balsamic elements, the fragrance evokes the quiet contemplation and serenity of Kyoto’s sacred spaces.
Apply this fragrance with a light hand; the smoky and warm spicy notes are potent. It blooms gradually over time, so one or two sprays will suffice to maintain its serene presence throughout the day.
