The story behind the bottle.
Chypre Palatin by MDCI Parfums, launched in 2012 and crafted by the renowned perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, is a sophisticated chypre fragrance that balances green freshness with warm spices and rich ambers. The opening notes of galbanum and aldehydes create an immediate contrast against the sweet clementine, setting the stage for a complex journey. As it evolves, hyacinth and rose blend seamlessly with labdanum and iris, adding layers of warmth and depth. Leather and benzoin provide a grounding earthiness, while vanilla and styrax offer a balsamic sweetness that lingers on the skin.
Apply this parfum with a light touch — the top notes are bright but fade quickly. The rich base will develop over time, so it's best to let it evolve naturally on your skin rather than layering multiple sprays. It’s particularly suited for cooler evenings when its warmth and depth can truly shine.
