The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by MDCI Parfums and created by Anne-Sophie Behaghel, Le Barbier de Tanger is an aromatic fougère that captures the essence of a crisp, invigorating shave. The composition opens with bergamot and lemon, providing a bright and zesty freshness that gives way to cardamom and basil — notes that add a spicy, green depth. This contrasts beautifully with the woody base of oakmoss, vetiver, and patchouli, creating an earthy yet refined backdrop. The overall effect is one of meticulous grooming and subtle sophistication.
Apply one to two sprays directly onto your skin for the best effect — the citrus notes fade quickly, so it’s essential that you let the composition develop on your skin. This fragrance works best during cooler weather when its earthy and woody base notes can shine through without being overpowered by summer humidity.
