Launched in 1978 by Shiseido, Tactics is an aromatic fougère fragrance created by Masatake Kaneko. The composition opens with juniper berries and green notes, creating a fresh spicy and citrusy top that feels invigorating and crisp. This gives way to a heart of jasmine and clary sage, offering a soft herbal warmth. The base notes of cedar, oakmoss, musk, amber, tonka bean, and vanilla ground the scent with earthy richness and depth. Tactics was one of Shiseido's early ventures into modern men’s fragrances, setting a standard for aromatic complexity.
