The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008, Scent One: Hinoki by Comme des Garçons is a Woody fragrance crafted by Antoine Maisondieu. The composition opens with fresh spicy notes of camphor and black pepper, giving way to the woody heart of hinoki wood, cedar, and pine. This is a scent that captures the essence of an ancient forest, where the crispness of green notes blends seamlessly with the earthy warmth of woody accords.
Apply this fragrance sparingly to allow its complex layers to unfold gradually. The camphor notes are particularly potent, so two sprays will suffice. It pairs well with cooler weather but can also be worn year-round for a grounding effect.
