Azzaro Pour Homme Édition Noire, launched in 2017, is a bold statement within the Azzaro portfolio. Built on an aromatic fougère base, this fragrance opens with a burst of fresh citrus and spicy notes that cut through the air like a brisk wind. Sage and artemisia provide herbal tension, while caraway and cumin add depth. The heart transitions into a woody musky base anchored by vetiver and coumarin, grounding the composition in earthy warmth.
This fragrance projects well from the start, so one or two sprays are sufficient. The citrus top notes dissipate within an hour, but the herbal and woody accords linger through the day. Best suited for daytime wear when its fresh, spicy character can shine.
