Launched in 2009 by Boadicea the Victorious, Pioneer is a gender-neutral fragrance that encapsulates quintessential British elegance and heritage. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of orange and bergamot, which are grounded by green galbanum. As it develops, the scent reveals a woody depth with cedar and agarwood (oud), creating an intriguing contrast between freshness and warmth. Labdanum adds a subtle sweetness that enhances the overall complexity.
Apply Pioneer in light layers to allow its various facets to unfold naturally over time. The bright citrus top notes are fleeting, so it’s best used during the day when the woody base can provide a comforting warmth without overpowering.
