Launched in 2017 and crafted by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, 801 sea spray, cedar, grapefruit by Bon Parfumeur is a composition that balances the crispness of citrus with the warmth of woody notes. The opening act features a vibrant blend of grapefruit, citron, and Italian mandarin, creating an aromatic freshness reminiscent of a coastal breeze. As it evolves, the fragrance reveals its heart through rosemary, pink pepper, and nutmeg, adding a subtle spiciness that cuts through the sweetness. The base notes of cedar and white musk provide a grounding warmth, while sea notes and cypress evoke the salty air of the seaside.
Two sprays are sufficient to capture its essence. The citrus top notes emerge quickly but fade within an hour, making it ideal for daytime wear. For longer-lasting warmth, ensure the base notes have time to bloom before stepping out.
