Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008 by Burberry and crafted by perfumers Dominique Ropion, Olivier Polge, and Béatrice Piquet, The Beat is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that embodies the modern elegance of the British luxury brand. It opens with a vibrant burst of pink pepper, mandarin orange, and bergamot, creating an invigorating freshness that quickly transitions to a heart of cardamom, tea, and iris. This floral-spicy accord adds depth before settling into a warm base of white musk, vetiver, and cedar, offering a grounding finish that is both comforting and sophisticated.
Apply The Beat to pulse points and let it develop naturally over time. Its vibrant top notes are fleeting but impactful, so a second application can be useful later in the day if you want to maintain that initial freshness. It pairs well with light layering for an understated yet elegant presence.
