Launched in 2009, Pure Oud by By Kilian is a daring statement from perfumer Calice Becker. This Oriental Woody fragrance opens with the rich and deep aroma of oud, which forms the core of its character. The composition is further enhanced by warm spicy notes, earthy undertones, and metallic accents, creating an intricate blend that reads as both opulent and grounded. The addition of balsamic and leather elements adds a layer of complexity, making Pure Oud feel both luxurious and raw.
Pure Oud's metallic and balsamic notes take time to develop fully on skin, so a heavier application in the morning allows these layers to unfold throughout the day. It's best for evenings or cooler weather when its rich warmth can be appreciated without overpowering.
