Launched in 1981, Calvin by Calvin Klein is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance that embodies the brand’s minimalist yet classic style. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of bergamot and lemon, balanced by the warmth of cinnamon and tarragon. As it settles into its heart, neroli and orange blossom provide a soft floral touch, while chamomile adds a herbal nuance. The base notes of patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, and musk create a woody and powdery foundation that grounds the entire fragrance with a subtle spiciness.
Calvin is best applied in two light sprays — the citrus notes are bright but fade quickly, and the woody base carries the scent for hours. It's better suited for daytime wear as it reads clean and fresh without being overpowering.
