Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1988, Classic by Van Gils is a Woody Aromatic fragrance created by Pierre Wargnye. The composition opens with the freshness of lemon and bergamot, balanced by the spicy notes of cardamom and coriander. As it evolves, the scent transitions into a warm and earthy base of patchouli, amber, cedar, and vetiver, creating a harmonious blend that feels both lasting and modern.
Apply two sprays to your pulse points. The citrus and aromatic top notes are bright but fade within a couple of hours, giving way to the warm, woody base that lasts throughout the day. This fragrance reads best in cooler weather when its spiciness is more pronounced.
