The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 2005 by Lacoste Fragrances, Essential is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men created by Laurent Bruyère. The composition opens with the bright freshness of bergamot and tangerine, balanced by the green vibrancy of tomato leaf. This citrus-aromatic opening leads into a heart of rose and pepper, adding a subtle spiciness that cuts through the sweetness. The base notes of sandalwood and patchouli provide a warm, woody foundation that grounds the fragrance.

How to wear it

Apply this fragrance to pulse points for a balanced experience. The citrus top notes are vibrant and will fade within an hour, so it’s best to rely on the warmth of sandalwood and patchouli that unfolds gradually over time.
