The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Calvin Klein and crafted by perfumers Christophe Raynaud and Ilias Ermenidis, Obsessed for Men Intense is a bold interpretation of the brand's signature minimalism. The fragrance opens with the unexpected combination of rhubarb and Sichuan pepper, which creates a fresh spicy contrast against the citrusy notes of grapefruit. This dynamic interplay leads to a heart of cashmeran and cypriol oil, lending warmth and depth before settling into a rich base of black vanilla husk, amber, guaiac wood, and gurjan balsam.
Given its long-lasting nature, one or two sprays are sufficient. The fresh spicy top notes will fade within a couple of hours, but the rich base notes continue to develop on the skin throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to the skin rather than projecting strongly into the air.

Christophe Raynaud
Architect first, craftsman secondChristophe Raynaud is a perfumer who describes himself as a craftsman with the sensitivity of an artist. He begins each fragrance with a raw olfactory block, working for hours to shape it as a sculptor would — first as architect, then as craftsman.
“At first, I am the architect, and then I become the craftsman.”
