The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002, Allure Eau Fraichissante Pour l'Ete by Chanel is a composition that Jacques Polge crafted with the intention of capturing summer freshness. The fragrance opens with a vibrant citrus blend featuring bergamot, grapefruit, and blood orange, which immediately invigorate the senses. This freshness transitions into a heart of floral notes including magnolia, water lily, jasmine, honeysuckle, and rose, creating an airy and uplifting effect. The base notes of vetiver and vanilla bring warmth and depth, grounding the composition while maintaining its lightness.
This fragrance builds gradually on the skin, so a light first application allows it to evolve naturally. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, while the floral heart and vanilla base provide lasting warmth. It's best worn in warmer months when its freshness can shine.
