Launched in 2017, Cool Water Wave by Davidoff is a Woody Aquatic fragrance that draws inspiration from the dynamic interplay of ocean and fresh spices. Created by perfumers Francis Kurkdjian, Antoine Lie, and Jean Jacques, this composition opens with sea notes and grapefruit before introducing sichuan pepper and juniper for an unexpected spiciness. The heart features birch leaf, adding a green freshness that contrasts beautifully with the woody base of sandalwood and patchouli, grounding the overall scent in earthy warmth.
Apply one to two sprays directly on pulse points. The grapefruit and sea notes are initially prominent but give way to the spicier heart within an hour. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear, as it maintains a bright freshness that complements urban environments.
