The story behind the bottle.
Invictus Aqua by Rabanne was launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Nicolas Beaulieu. This Woody Aquatic fragrance opens with a burst of citrus from yuzu and grapefruit, which contrasts beautifully against the aromatic notes of pink pepper and violet leaf. The heart reveals a marine accord, capturing the essence of sea water, while the base settles into ambergris, amberwood, and guaiac wood, creating a warm and earthy foundation. Invictus Aqua is neither overtly masculine nor feminine, making it a versatile choice for those who appreciate a fresh yet grounding scent.
Apply two sprays initially; the citrus top notes are vibrant but fade within an hour. The woody base notes will then carry you through the rest of the day. This fragrance is best for daytime, as it reads fresh and light rather than heavy.
