Launched in 2012 by Rabanne and crafted by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, Black XS L Exces for Him is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that balances bright citrus with earthy warmth. The composition opens with Amalfi lemon and lavender, creating an immediate sense of freshness and crispness. This gives way to the deeper layers of cypriol oil or nagarmotha, sea notes, and patchouli, which add an earthy, aromatic richness that grounds the scent without overpowering it.
Apply two sprays to the pulse points — the citrus top notes are vibrant but fade within an hour, leaving the woody and spicy base to linger throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, making it ideal for daytime wear.
