The story behind the bottle.
Invictus Elixir by Rabanne, launched in 2026 and crafted by Alexandra Carlin, Anne Flipo, and Caroline Dumur, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that balances the freshness of mineral notes with the warmth of vanilla caviar. The composition opens with the bracing zest of grapefruit and salt, creating an invigorating contrast to the heart notes of coconut, lavender, and aromatic cypress. This leads into a base of moss, benzoin, and cedar, which adds depth and a subtle earthiness. Invictus Elixir is neither overly sweet nor overpowering, making it suitable for both day and evening wear.
Apply two sprays to ensure the initial burst of grapefruit and salt is balanced by the deeper woody notes. This fragrance blooms over time, so it's best not layered heavily but allowed to develop naturally throughout the day.
