The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Bvlgari, Aqva Amara is a Woody Aquatic fragrance created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. This composition opens with Sicilian Mandarin and Watery Notes, creating an immediate sense of freshness and lightness. The middle notes of Neroli add a subtle floral touch that balances the aquatic top, while the base notes of Olibanum and Indonesian Patchouli Leaf bring depth and warmth to the fragrance. Aqva Amara represents a new twist in the creation of aquatic perfumes, blending noble ingredients to lift its Mediterranean character.
One to two sprays on pulse points is sufficient — the fresh citrus notes are bright but fleeting. The woody base will develop over time, so it’s best applied in the morning for a full day's wear.
