The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Versace and crafted by perfumer Alberto Morillas, Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue is an aromatic fougère that balances fresh citrus notes with warm spices and woody accords. The fragrance opens with a bright burst of Calabrian bergamot and grapefruit, followed by the green freshness of fig leaf and violet leaf. These top notes give way to a heart enriched by ambroxan and black pepper, adding depth and warmth. The base layers of patchouli, papyrus, incense, musk, tonka bean, and saffron provide a rich, enveloping finish that lingers throughout the day.
Dylan Blue became a fixture on designer-fragrance bestseller lists and is frequently cited by enthusiasts as a common 'gateway' fragrance that introduces newcomers to serious fragrance collecting. Its blend of freshness and warmth makes it both accessible and intriguing.
Apply two sprays to your pulse points. The citrus top notes are vibrant but fade within a couple of hours, so rely on the musky and woody base notes that continue to develop throughout the day. This fragrance reads better close to skin rather than in a room.
