Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Santal Noir by Dior was launched in 2018 and crafted by the renowned perfumer François Demachy. This fragrance stands out with its contrast between bright citrus top notes and a rich, smoky sandalwood base. The opening is fresh and invigorating, featuring bergamot and lemon, which then transitions to a heart of jasmine and rose, adding a touch of floral warmth. As the scent settles into its base, the smoky sandalwood becomes prominent, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and mysterious.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — its smoky base notes develop gradually and can become overpowering if used too heavily. It pairs well with lighter scents for daytime wear but holds its own as an evening choice.
