Launched in 2011 by Dior and crafted by perfumer François Demachy, Dior Homme Intense opens with a crisp lavender that feels almost powdery-clean before giving way to a tender pear and iris heart that speaks of refined restraint. Cedar and vetiver anchor the composition with a woody warmth that evolves throughout the day, creating a fragrance that feels both introspectively intimate and unmistakably sophisticated—a whisper rather than a shout.
Given its long-lasting nature, Dior Homme Intense requires only one or two sprays for optimal effect. The crisp opening notes are fleeting, so the focus should be on allowing the woody base to settle in throughout the day.
