Launched in 2016, Valentino Uomo Intense is a Leather fragrance that has become a benchmark within the iris-tonka category. It opens with mandarin orange and clary sage, giving way to a heart of iris and violet before settling into a base of tonka bean, leather, and vanilla. This composition places a slightly heavier emphasis on iris and tonka compared to its peers like Dior Homme Intense, making it particularly memorable. Its discontinuation was met with notable disappointment among fans who considered it a significant step up from the original Valentino Uomo.
Apply two sprays to the neck and wrists. The mandarin orange top notes fade quickly, but the iris and tonka base will linger throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room.
