Launched in 2017 by Sophie Labbé, Valentino Uomo Noir Absolu is a warm and woody oriental fragrance that captures the essence of sophisticated masculinity. The composition opens with a bold interplay between cinnamon and pepper, creating an initial burst of spiciness. This freshness gives way to a heart of incense and olibanum, adding depth and smokiness. At its core, sandalwood provides a rich, balsamic foundation that lends the fragrance a powdery, enveloping quality.
Two sprays on your pulse points will allow the cinnamon and pepper to shine initially. The smoky and woody notes settle in over time, so it’s best applied a bit ahead of your intended outing. It reads better close to skin than from across the room.
