Created by Desmond Knox-Leet and Serge Kalouguine, this scent opens with the sharp aroma of clove and cinnamon before transitioning into a rich base of opoponax and amber. Desmond Knox-Leet, an English painter and graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts, co-founded Diptyque in 1961 with French designers Yves Coueslant and Christiane Gautrot, originally as a boutique for fabrics and handmade crafts.
