The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 2017, Kimonanthe by Diptyque is a highly unusual creation that defies categorization. The fragrance combines exotic osmanthus blossoms with the delicate notes of Japanese incense, resulting in an enigmatic and addictive experience. The opening is warm and spicy, infused with camphor and cloves, leading to a heart that balances fruity candied apricot with floral depth. As it settles into its woody, smoky base, Kimonanthe transforms into a complex mist of exotic remedies and incense, creating an atmosphere both mysterious and captivating.

How to wear it

Apply Kimonanthe sparingly to let the complex layers unfold gradually. The camphor note is prominent initially but fades quickly; the true character emerges after about an hour when the smoky base notes come through. Ideal for evening wear, where its mysterious depth can be fully appreciated.
