The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1989 by the Italian fashion house Etro, Sandalo is a woody and powdery fragrance that captures the essence of refined elegance. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of bitter orange and lemon, which give way to a heart of rose and geranium, adding a touch of floral softness. As it settles into its base, sandalwood, patchouli, and amber create a warm spicy and balsamic atmosphere that feels both classic and lasting.
Two sprays will suffice — the citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, while the warm woodsy base develops slowly. This fragrance reads better close to skin than across a room, so make sure to apply it directly on pulse points for optimal effect.
