Launched in 1999 and crafted by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Mania is a warm spicy oriental fragrance that embodies the sophistication and elegance for which Giorgio Armani is known. The composition opens with bright bergamot and saffron, creating an initial burst of freshness before diving into rich accords of labdanum, nutmeg, and cloves. This blend of spices and resins adds a complex warmth, grounded by the woody depth of guaiac wood and iris. A base of vanilla, amber, and white musk rounds out the scent, providing a comforting and enveloping finish.
This fragrance is best applied in light layers, allowing the rich accords to develop gradually on the skin. It pairs well with cooler weather when its warm base notes can fully bloom over several hours.
