The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2010 by Gucci, Guilty was created by perfumer Aurélien Guichard and quickly became a cultural touchstone of the early 2010s. The fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of pink pepper, mandarin orange, and bergamot, leading into a heart of lilac, peach, geranium, jasmine, and black currant that exudes a sweet and fruity charm. The base notes of patchouli, amber, white musk, and vanilla add warmth and depth, grounding the composition with an oriental floral character.
Gucci Guilty was launched with a high-profile campaign starring Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood, directed by Frank Miller, which debuted at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. This marketing push helped cement its status as a cult favorite, becoming synonymous with the fashion-forward aesthetics of that era.
Apply two sprays to ensure the bright top notes are noticeable. The fragrance has moderate longevity and sillage, so it's best enjoyed up close rather than filling an entire room. It pairs well with daytime or evening wear.
