Launched in 2014, Eau des Merveilles 10th Anniversary Edition by Hermès is a woody oriental fragrance that seamlessly blends freshness and warmth. The composition opens with the zesty brightness of bitter orange and Italian lemon, punctuated by elemi's sharpness and pink pepper's subtle heat. As it evolves, the heart reveals a soft yet distinct floral note from violet, supported by fir and cedar. Ambergris and oakmoss ground the base notes with earthy warmth, creating an intriguing contrast between freshness and depth.
Given its strong sillage and long-lasting nature, one or two sprays is sufficient. The citrus notes are bright but brief, so let it settle for a few minutes before heading out. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than from across the room.
