The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 2014 and crafted by perfumer Christine Nagel, London Rain Wisteria & Violet is part of Jo Malone's limited edition collection inspired by the diverse moods of rain in London. This particular fragrance captures the gentle morning showers that drench wisteria vines cascading over stone walls. Water lily and wisteria open with a fresh floral bouquet, while violet adds a delicate sweetness, eventually giving way to the earthy warmth of patchouli in the base.

How to wear it

For best effect, apply this fragrance in light layers — the fresh top notes are fleeting but powerful. The patchouli base emerges after an hour and provides a subtle warmth that pairs well with cooler weather. It reads better close to skin rather than from across a room.
