The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2013, Saffron by Jo Malone London is a woody spicy fragrance that brings together unexpected contrasts and rich textures. The composition opens with pink pepper and incense before giving way to saffron and bergamot, creating an initial tension between bright freshness and warm spice. This leads into a heart of iris and woods, anchored by the smoky, metallic notes of guaiac wood and amber, which evoke a sense of depth and complexity.
Apply Saffron in a light mist to your pulse points — it develops best close to the skin. The smoky base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so give it time before layering on additional sprays. Ideal for cooler evenings when you want a scent that evolves with you.
