The story behind the bottle.
Peau Santal, launched by Miller Harris in 2018 and crafted by perfumer Mathieu Nardin, is an intricate Woody Floral Musk fragrance for both women and men. It opens with a vibrant burst of bergamot and pink pepper, which quickly gives way to the warm embrace of saffron and olibanum. The heart notes of papyrus and violet leaf add a subtle earthiness before settling into a rich base of sandalwood, cashmirwood, amber, vanilla, and moss. This fragrance is neither overly sweet nor heavy, striking a balance between warmth and spiciness.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — two sprays is ample. The top notes are fleeting but impactful, while the base notes will gradually unfold over several hours. This fragrance pairs well with cooler evenings or intimate settings where its nuances can be fully appreciated.
